Construction of world's 1st ‘Maat Pitah Temple' to start from today
Chandigarh , November 14: The construction of world's 1
st & only ‘Maat Pitah Temple' will be started from 
Monday at village Khallour on Banur- Ambala road in Mohali district. 
Announcing this during a press conference at Chandigarh on Sunday, Gian Chand Walia the Founder of 
 NGO- Maat Pitah Gowdham Trust ( MPGD) who is constructing the temple said that it will be dedicated 
to the parents. No religious deities will be kept in the temple, he said .
Acharya Pandit Dayanand Shastri will be the chief guest during foundation laying ceremony of the temple
while Dr. Diwakar Sukul, Chairman of World Book of Records will be a special guest during occasion. 
MPGD is a unique kind of sacred organization which was established in 2011 by Gian Chand Walia 
fondly known as Gauchar Das Gian. The Gaudham campus where the temple is being constructed is 
spread on 10 acres of land which has been donated by Gian Chand Walia. 
The temple will aim to spread awareness of parent’s respect besides focusing on spiritual benefits of the 
mother cow, said Gian Chand Walia. 
He said further that no one is bigger than our parents. They are the ones who sacrifice and dedicate their 
lives for their children. They set aside their comfort and happiness for the welfare of their children, he 
opined. 
Open for all communities and religions, ‘Maat Pitah Temple' will be fully dedicated for the parents where 
they will be worshipped and respected, he maintained. 
Meanwhile the temple will be ready in 2-3 years. The bhoomi pujan of the Temple was done on April 10, 
2019 . 
Meanwhile the temple has also got a certificate from World Book of Records as world's 1
st & only ‘Maat 
Pitah Temple'. 
Among others Bashesh Nath Sharma, Amar Jeet Bansal, Suresh Bansal, Deepak Mittal, Subhash Singla, 
Sandeep Mittal, Sanjeev Singla, Kuldeep Thakur and Kapil Verma were also present during the 
occasion.
