TREE PLANTATION International Day of Forests, 2021 Organized by Dharat Suhavi Environment Society
The ‘Dharat Suhavi’ Environment Society and Botany Department, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College celebrated International Day of Forests on 19th March, 2021, by planting fruit trees on campus in order to commemorate Guru Nanak Sacred Forest, which was established in April 2019, within college premises.

The ‘Dharat Suhavi’ Environment Society and Botany Department, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College celebrated International Day of Forests on 19th March, 2021, by planting fruit trees on campus in order to commemorate Guru Nanak Sacred Forest, which was established in April 2019, within college premises. The event was organized keeping in view the 2021 global theme of “Forest Restoration – A path to recovery and well-being.” The trees were planted by the Principal, Members of Dharat Suhavi Environment Society and Staff. Fruit trees like Mango, Pear, Apricot, Walnut, Apple, Avocado, Kinnow and Cherry were planted. Amongst others Insulin Plant, Champa, Bamboo, Pinus, Deodar trees were also planted.
