Joint Commissioner cum Secretary, MC Chandigarh in SGGSC for Workshop
Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector-26, Chandigarh organised a Workshop on ‘Swachh 
Bharat Mission’ under the Deendayal Antodaya Yojana -National Urban Livelihoods Mission 
(DAY-NULM), Chandigarh. The event was jointly organised by the Solid Waste Management 
Committee, Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education and Dharat Suhavi 
Environment Societyof the College, in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, 
Chandigarh. Smt Shalini Chetal, Joint Commissioner cum Secretary, Municipal Corporation 
Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She was accompanied by the resource 
persons Mr Vivek Trivedi, Social Development Officer, NULM, MC, Chandigarh and Ms 
Ramnik Kaur, Livelihood, NULM, MC, Chandigarh.The students were acquainted with the 
Swachh Survekshan Programme, 2022 which would sensitise the citizens of City Beautiful on 
how to to procure a high rank in the nationwide cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation survey. A 
vast number of the Faculty and students enthusiastically filled the Citizen Feedback forms that 
were provided. DrNavjot Kaur, Principal apprised the audience about the various measures 
undertaken by the College to maintain a green and healthy environment and encouraged the 
youth to do their best to maintain cleanliness and hygiene on Campus and beyond.
