Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector-26, Chandigarh, organised a One Day Workshop on Latest Advancements in Space Science in India. It aimed to provide insights into the cutting-edge developments in the field of Space Science and Technology.
Principal Dr Navjot Kaur welcomed the Resource Person, Dr Sandeep Sahijpal, Professor, Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Guest of Honour S Gurdev Singh Brar ( IAS retd), President, Sikh Educational Society. 
The Resource Person provided an insightful glimpse into India's ambitious Space Program, highlighting milestones achieved in Satellite Launches, Lunar Missions, and Mars Exploration such as Chandrayaan–3, Chandrayaan–1, Aditya L1, Mangalayaan.  He elucidated on emerging Satellite Technology, Interplanetary exploration, and advancements in Astrophysical research. In the end, he discussed the career possibilities at ISRO and ISRO’s local chapters in Chandigarh. The Workshop was highly interactive and queries of participants were thoroughly answered by the Resource Person.  
The Principal encouraged the students to harness the knowledge gained from the Workshop in their academic pursuits. She lauded the efforts of PG Department of Physics, Prof Puran Singh Science Society and Institution Innovation Council of the College for organising the event.
