SGGSC organises Plastic Waste Collection Drive

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sec 26, Chandigarh organised a Plastic Waste Collection Drive under NSS Special Campaign  Clean India 2.0 Programme. This programme falls under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. 

 NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the cleanliness drive, cleaned the Campus and collected plastic garbage from every nook and corner of the College premises. They also collected plastic waste from their homes to further enhance the impact of the drive. Through this initiative, the students were made aware about the imperative need to maintain cleanliness in the Campus and their general surroundings while ensuring segregation of different kinds of wastes. 

Dr Navjot Kaur, Principal reiterated the commitment of the College towards upholding its best practice of Environmental Sustainability. She also appreciated the efforts of NSS Volunteers and NSS programme Officers for organising the cleanliness drive.
